Recently we became aware that false and potentially harmful statements have, once again, been made about Queens Intergroup.

The claim being made is that “Queens Intergroup is operating at a deficit and had to use some of their prudent reserves”.  This is misleading.  Traditionally, once yearly expenses such as insurance and the meeting book, combined with a seasonal reduction in Group contributions, do cause a minor deficit in the summer.  But please note that we have never “had to” use our prudent reserves.

Regrettably, almost identical lies were put forth a little over two years ago by certain individuals who claimed to be part of Queens Intergroup.  Then, as now, their actions and motives were highly suspect.  We must ask ourselves why it is that this other service entity is interested in, and making claims about, Queens Intergroup's finances at all.

Rest assured that the people that you’ve elected to handle Queens Intergroup’s financial matters are capable and honest.  Your donations and contributions to Queens Intergroup are being handled properly…just as you’ve trusted they would be.  Would you like to see for yourself?  You are always welcome to come to the Steering Committee meetings where you will see how your Trusted Servants are serving you.  These meetings are held in the office on the first Tuesday of each and every month at 7:30 P.M.  The next one will be on December 1st. and we would encourage you to attend.  Hope to see you there!
