Updates to the April, 2008 Meeting Book As of June 13th., 2008. Pg. 16 - Glen Oaks will not meet on Saturday, June 14th. (school functions). Pg. 15 - Forest Hills. Parkside had been renamed to: "Message On Metro". The Meeting and location hasn't changed. Pg. 17 - The Jackson Heights Group(II), meets on Wednesday at St Marks Parish House: 82nd. Street & 34th. Avenue. They will discontinue their 8:30 P.M. Closed Meeting as of July 3, 2008. The 7 PM Step Meeting will continue as usual. Pg. 18 - Jamaica South. Better Way has moved to The Rush Temple A.M.E. Zion Church. 119-48 Sutphin Boulevard (120th. Avenue - basement). The Meeting remains as a Closed on Tuesdays at 6:00 P.M. Pg. 24 - Rosedale. Circle Of Serenity no longer meets. As of June 27th., 2008. Pg. 18 - Little Neck Douglaston will be moving as of July 2, 2008.  The new address will be: The Community Church Of Douglaston.  39-50 Douglaston Parkway (11363)          The Meetings remain the same and they are now Handicapped Accessible. Pg. 22 - Rockaways.  Belle Harbor will start the Thursday Step Meeting one hour earlier -          8:00 P.M. instead of 9:00.  The Sunday Open Meeting continues to be at 8:00 P.M. As of July 7th., 2008. Pg. 22 - Richmond Hill. The Van Wyck - Kew Gardens Group has moved to: St. John's Lutheran Church Basement. 86-20 114th. Street. You may know this as the same location as the "Remember When" Group. Their Meetings remains the same - Tuesdays, 7:00 P.M. (different types - follow the link to their listing) Pg. 24 - Rockaways Fort Tilden. The Midwood Group Of Rockaway has moved to: The St. John's Home, 50 Beach 110th. Street (between Rockaway Beach Boulevard and the boardwalk). The Topic Meeting will continue to be held at 6:00 P.M., on the first floor. There is parking outside as well as in the parking lot across the street. As of July 10th., 2008. Pg. 28 - Groupo Honestidad (Corona). The Sunday Open Meeting is at 10:00 A.M. (not 8:00 A.M.). Also, this Group has a Closed Women's Meeting on Sunday at 5:00 P.M. As of July 15th., 2008. Pg. 18 - Long Island City. It Works If You Work It has moved to the little white house in back of The Astoria Baptist Church, 31-17 21st. Street (Zip 11106). The Meeting remains the same: Closed on Saturday at 6:00 P.M. Pg. 9 - Astoria Safe & Sober has added the former Fresh Start Meeting on Monday - (Closed 12 Noon.) to the others at the Episcopal Church location - 30-14 Crescent Street. Pg. 16 - Forest Hills. Women Living In The Solution meet at St. Luke's at 85 Greenway South. Their Meeting is now a Big Book at all times (no Step Meeting on the First Tuesday). Street, Long Island City, Zip 11106 Pg. 21 - Richmond Hill. The Bill W. Group has added a new Traditions Meeting on the Last Friday of the Month. As of October 10th., 2008. Pg. 22 - Richmond Hill. Universal Springfield is no longer meeting. As of November 4th., 2008. Pg. 13 - Flushing. Auburndale has consolidated their 2 Meetings on the last Wednesday of the Month into one Open Meeting at a new time - 7:30 P.M. There are no changes to any of the other weeks. Pg. 14 - Flushing Unity Step will be closed on Christmas Eve Wednesday 12/24/08 and New Years Eve, Wednesday 12/31/08, due to functions in the Church. As of November 9th., 2008. Pg. 26 - Sunnyside. A Step Forward will be closed on Friday, November 14th. As of November 15th., 2008. Pg. 11 - Bellerose. The Dumping Ground Nites will be closed on Thanksgiving, November 27th. As of November 19th., 2008. Pg. 19 - Middle Village. New Group. Children "R" Welcomed meets on Thursdays at 7:15 P.M. at The Community United Methodist Church, 75-27 Metropolitan Avenue (at 78th. Street) Men & women seeking a comfortable meeting place to bring a child. This is a Closed Discussion meeting and you do not need a child to attend this meeting. Pg. 25 - St. Albans. Sobriety First. The Wednesday Meeting is at 7:00 P.M. (not 7:30). As of December 12th., 2008, Pg. 12 - College Point. From The Ashes has a new time for the Sunday Closed Meeting - 6:00 P.M. instead of 6:30, and there is no longer a Big Book Meeting on Wednesday. The Sunday Beginners and Wednesday Closed remain the same. Pg. 15 - Forest Hills Survivors (1) is not meeting at this time, they are looking for a new meeting place (most of Parkway Hospital closed). A New Group - Women's Big Book Study (a Closed Meeting) will Meet on Mondays at 6:30 P.M. at: The Catholic War Vets - Post #1927, 79-07 31st. Avenue - 2nd. floor. Pg. 19 - Long Island City. Queensbridge has moved to the Friendship Baptist Church, 38-35 12th. Street. The Closed Meeting is now on Wednesday at 8:00 P.M. There are no Meetings on Tuesday or Thursday. Pg. 19 - Middle Village. New Life will add a new morning Meeting on Wednesdays at 10:30 A.M. at the Caldwell Avenue location. This will be an Open Discussion Meeting starting on March 11th. Pg. 21 - Rego Park now meets at 9:45 A.M. on Sunday, that's fifteen minutes later. As of February 28th., 2009. Pg. 14 - Flushing. Church on the Hill Group has changed the Monday Open Meeting to 6:00 P.M. Both the Beginners and the Big Book Meetings now start a little later - at 7:15 P.M. Saturday's 8:30 P.M. Closed Meeting is an "As Bills Sees It" Also, Anniversaries will be on the 2nd. Saturday of the month. Pg. 17 - Jamaica North. A New Beginning is no longer meeting. Nadzieja Group no longer Meets on Sunday. They continue to Meet on Monday, with a Closed Discussion at 8:30 P.M. Pg. 22 - Ridgewood. The Coming Home Group is an Open Discussion Meeting on Sunday (11:00 A.M.) This Group is also asking for your support. As of March 11th., 2009. Pg. 20 - Ozone Park. New Freedom's Thursday 7:00 P.M. Meeting is a Closed (not a Big Book). Pg. 25 - St. Albans. Sobriety First. The Saturday Big Book Meeting is going to start a 1/2 hour later - at 1:00 P.M., effective April 4th. Pg. 19 - Long Island City. Queensbridge Wednesday Meeting starts at 7:30 P.M. (not 8). The schedule is as follows: The First Wednesday is a Beginners, the Second is alternate Step and Traditions, the Third is a Big Book and Fourth will be Anniversaries as needed. The Thursday Step Meeting becomes an Open Discussion on the Last Thursday (rather than an Open as indicated). Pg. 19 - Maspeth. New Beginnings Monday Beginners Meeting becomes an Open Discussion or Anniversary on the First Monday of the Month (not the last). Pg. 26 - Whitestone. Effective May 2nd. The (4) Meetings that now start at 7:15 on Tuesday and Saturday, will start 15 minutes later - at 7:30 P.M. as do Wednesday's Meetings. As of April 10th., 2009. The Remember When Group (meets on Thursdays at 7:00 P.M.) has changed their Group's name to "Free At Last". Please note: This is the last of the changes to your 2008 Meeting book. The new 2009 Meeting book (orange cover) incorporates all of the changes that you see here.
